Pharmacy Technician Job Description

CVS Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications and processing prescriptions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Process and fill prescriptions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Restock and maintain inventory of medications and supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Pharmacy Technician certification or registration required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB National Certification
Work Environment

The Pharmacy Technician will work in a retail pharmacy setting, interacting with patients, customers, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
