Join Our Team as a Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, Washington. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

About the Position

This is a full-time, 1.00 FTE, day position with a competitive salary range of $46.84-$ and a hiring rate dependent on education, training, work experience, and other factors. The position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement, and there may be more than one opening on this posting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasound equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data.
  • Use independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings and communicate this information with diagnostic images to the interpreting physician.
  • Record test results, prepare accurate preliminary reports, and update patient records for interpreting physician.
  • Integrate previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to optimize exam.
  • Perform other duties consistent with caregiver's scope of practice, training, experience, and licensure/registration/certification.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of ultrasound sonography program required or equivalent education and/or experience as required for obtaining certification/license/registration as required by the national registry through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with CCI, OR registry eligible.
  • Experience in Vascular is preferred, but not required.
  • Current certification/registration/licensure as required by the State for trained modality.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.
