We are seeking a skilled and patient Driving Instructor to join our team at Coastline Academy. As a Driving Instructor, you will play a crucial role in educating and advising students on the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel.
Responsibilities- Teaching and Coaching: Provide instruction on the rules of the road, practical skills related to all aspects of driving, and help students develop confidence in their driving skills.
- Vehicle Safety: Gain control of the vehicle during emergency situations and ensure the safety of students and yourself.
- Documentation and Communication: Document and report on students' progress, maintain timely communication with your supervisor and support team, and maintain professionalism with students and fellow team members.
- Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for helping people learn and develop their driving skills.
- Driving Experience: A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in and at least 10 years of legal driving experience.
- Education and Certifications: A High School Diploma or GED equivalent and the ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others, and focus for extended periods of time.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle, see and hear during all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, touch, feel, and lift up to 25 pounds at times.
