Position Summary

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the therapy team in executing tailored rehabilitation strategies. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being and independence of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing educational and vocational activities aimed at restoring and enhancing individuals' task performance, promoting their overall health and self-sufficiency.
  • Design and modify equipment for various environments, including creating assistive devices to facilitate participation in rehabilitation programs and community activities.
  • Conduct community reintegration initiatives to aid individuals in meeting their occupational therapy objectives during physical engagements.
  • Provide training to clients and their support networks, documenting the outcomes of these training sessions.
  • Support the treatment plan by accurately documenting and reporting any changes in client status to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other relevant team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
  • Understanding of complex neurological injuries and neuro-rehabilitation methodologies.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in assisting with the assessment and management of traumatic brain injuries or similar neurological conditions.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate of USD $32.00.
