Lead Early Childhood Educator - Beaver County
The Lead Early Childhood Educator, alongside their educational team, is accountable for the management of the classroom, which includes tailored planning and execution for each student, ensuring a secure learning environment, and applying suitable behavior management techniques. This role involves supervising a group of up to 20 children aged 3 to 5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
- Oversee the daily organization of the classroom, including the design and execution of the curriculum tailored to individual needs, tracking developmental progress, and ensuring the collection of precise data. (20%)
- Foster a constructive classroom atmosphere by cultivating relationships, establishing age-appropriate expectations, and facilitating child-led activities. (20%)
- Exemplify and promote healthy practices, nutrition, safety, and effective behavior management strategies. (15%)
- Maintain accurate records of classroom supplies and ensure regular cleaning and sanitization of the classroom and outdoor play areas. (15%)
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and apply established practices, procedures, and expectations. (15%)
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist parents and guardians in their role as the primary educators of their children by building engaging relationships. Conduct a minimum of two parent-teacher meetings and home visits annually. Ensure that screenings, assessments, and evaluations are completed and discussed with parents. (5%)
- Collaborate with family advocates during parent meetings, providing updates on classroom activities and training sessions. (5%)
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. (5%)
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's Degree is mandatory.
- Experience in early childhood education is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Zoom, and general computer skills.
- Experience in early childhood education is preferred.
