Position Overview:

The 4A Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit at UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a dedicated Night Program Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse to become a vital part of our team. This role involves working three 12-hour shifts from 6 PM to 6:30 AM, including five weekends and rotating holidays. Ideal candidates should possess inpatient hospital experience and/or rehabilitation expertise.

Compensation:

As a participant in the night program, you will benefit from an additional $4/hour night shift differential, in addition to your base salary. Candidates must have a minimum of six months of RN experience to be eligible for this position. A generous Sign-On Bonus is available for this role.

  • Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus with a 2-year commitment.
About the Unit:

The 4A Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility at UPMC St. Margaret is a 28-bed unit within an acute care hospital, offering comprehensive rehabilitation services as part of an intensive program. Patients admitted to our facility are required to tolerate three hours of intensive rehabilitation services daily. Our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team addresses a variety of conditions, including stroke, orthopedic issues, arthritis, neurological disorders, and general debilitation.

Qualifications:
  • 6 months to 2 years of nursing experience.
  • BSN preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
Licensure and Certifications:

Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the relevant state or a state covered by a licensure compact agreement is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also necessary.
