About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our Sterile Processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in the processing and sterilization of medical instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and assemble surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure quality and completeness.
  • Operate sterilization equipment and inspect instruments, equipment, and containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
  • Perform decontamination and sterilization of soiled instruments, containers, and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure availability of instruments for case carts.
  • Participate in quality assurance program audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sterile processing experience and full CRCST certification preferred.
