Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on projects of various sizes
- Perform engineering work in process design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including engineering services and construction management
- Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards
- Work on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and prepares cost estimates for various water projects
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables; data entry and analysis, and working through the construction phase on the projects
- Supervise or coordinate the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 6-12 years of water/wastewater project experience
- Experience includes water treatment facilities, water transmission/distribution projects, water storage, groundwater wells, and master planning
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Texas or the ability to obtain within six months
- Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
- Must have demonstrated experience in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large-sized water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and manage project teams
- Work well in a team environment
- Ability to deliver high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Environmental Engineering
- Design and construction phase experience
