Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist the finance team in executing essential functions and responsibilities across various domains, including but not limited to, calculating, categorizing, and documenting numerical information to maintain comprehensive financial records. This role involves a blend of routine calculations, postings, and verification tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and uphold accounting documentation. The specialist will verify the precision of figures, calculations, and postings related to financial transactions.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Conduct final reviews and billing of sales orders, ensuring invoices are distributed according to customer specifications.
  • Confirm that all orders are accurately coded, files are complete, and customer ledger entries are current.
  • Engage with clients regarding overdue invoices, including collection efforts.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as welcoming visitors, answering phone calls, data entry, typing, scanning, file maintenance, and document preparation.
  • Provide support to administrative staff, sales, and operations departments as necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet assigned deadlines consistently.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as required.

EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with colleagues, vendors, and clients.
  • Possess a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Have a foundational understanding of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions.
  • Exhibit good analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address customer inquiries and challenges.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Maintain consistent and regular attendance.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours if necessary.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
  • Experience in accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.
