Work Schedule:

Key Responsibilities:
- The Operating Room Nurse plays a vital role in delivering patient-centered care during surgical interventions, collaborating closely with surgeons and anesthesia professionals.
- Utilizes infection control protocols, including universal precautions and proper hand hygiene, to ensure patient safety.
- Maintains optimal body mechanics to safeguard the well-being of patients and staff.
- Employs safety measures and checks emergency equipment as per unit protocols.
- Specific duties for Circulating Nurses include:
- Certification in routine scrub nurse responsibilities for all patients.
- Exhibiting proper aseptic techniques.
- Managing operating table and lighting equipment.
- Assisting anesthesia providers.
- Ensuring correct patient positioning.
- Conducting sponge counts and completing necessary documentation.
- Scrub Nurse responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating aseptic techniques during various surgical procedures.
- May involve working with patients who are COVID-19 positive or under investigation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an Operating Room environment or current operating room nursing certification is required.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is essential.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred; a Master's Degree is highly regarded.
- An unrestricted registered nurse license from any U.S. state is mandatory.
