Job Summary

As a skilled LPN-Ambulatory Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Our team at Prisma Health is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services, and we are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other activities related to direct patient care.
  • Arrange for patient appointments for diagnostic testing, consults, referrals, and admission to hospital.
  • Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
  • Document patient's vital statistics and other encounter data into patient chart and ensure that all required records are in the chart.
  • Call in prescriptions for patients according to physician order.
  • Promote positive health behaviors and self-care skills through patient education.
  • Prepare exam rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment. Clean exam rooms between procedures and exams.
  • Receive and return clinically related telephone calls; screen and forward those requiring physician action.
  • Complete medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies.
  • Inform physician of changes in schedule.
Requirements
  • Post high school education up to 18 months: Post high school education in an accredited school of nursing.
  • South Carolina LPN License (Lawson Code NLPN).
  • CPR Certification required.
Work Environment

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work shift is day, and the location is Upstate Family Medicine.
