Metal Cutting Machinist Programmers Specialist

At Masters Machine Company, we are seeking an experienced Metal Cutting Machinist Programmer to join our production team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in machining operations and strong problem-solving skills.

• Set up machines for various functions such as drilling, cutting, milling, reaming, boring or broaching metal parts.
• Enter commands from pre-programmed databases and manually adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Mount tooling attachments and parts on machines, select and install cutting tools in machine spindles, and calculate machine controls to position the spindle relative to the part.
• Train operators to maintain quality products and adhere to production schedules while keeping a safe and clean work area.

Requirements:

• Full understanding of machine operations and 1-4 years' experience as a set-up/programmer in a production metal cutting environment.
• G-code programming using variables and macro -B arguments, visual inspection with attention to detail, and flexibility in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good communication skills, ability to work independently, and adherence to established safety guidelines.
