Job Overview

Position Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

We are in search of a committed Lead Maintenance Technician who possesses strong mechanical aptitude and adept troubleshooting abilities. While prior experience in plastic injection molding is advantageous, we are open to training the right individual who demonstrates a positive mindset.

The maintenance team operates in a collaborative environment, typically working 6-7 days a week based on production demands, with team members alternating weekend shifts. Sundays provide an opportunity for double-time compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and perform preventative maintenance to guarantee the effective, efficient, and safe operation of injection molding machines and auxiliary apparatus.
  • Troubleshoot issues, pinpoint cost-effective solutions, and maintain equipment including conveyors, workstations, fixtures, dryers, grinders, machine guards, assembly tools, and gauges.
  • Identify potential mechanical and safety concerns and propose appropriate resolutions.

Compensation: Starting pay is $27.95 per hour, with additional shift premiums of $0.35 for 2nd shift and $0.60 for 3rd shift. The pay scale for the Lead Maintenance Technician position progresses as follows: $27.95 per hour initially, $28.95 per hour after one year, and $29.95 per hour after two years. This role requires working long hours and may involve other shifts. The 3rd shift schedule is from 10 PM to 6 AM, Monday through Friday, with weekend work based on production needs. This is a contract-to-hire position lasting 6 months.
