Position Overview
The Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic imaging procedures. This position involves the administration of x-ray examinations across various patient demographics, including newborns, children, adults, and seniors, to aid physicians in identifying medical conditions and injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct x-ray imaging to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate radiographic equipment and ensure the proper development of imaging films.
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain a sterile environment for radiological procedures.
Work Schedule
Typical shifts include Monday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Qualifications
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or be eligible for registration.
- If not yet registered, candidates should have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for the role, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods. Candidates should also be capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds.
This position is essential for delivering quality patient care and supporting the diagnostic process within Iredell Health System.
