Job Title: Mixologist

Department: Food & Beverage Services

Reports To: Food and Beverage Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Overview: This role involves working at both fixed and mobile bars within the arena and at various portable bars throughout the convention facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the organization's policies and relevant regulations while performing duties.
  • Manage inventory at a stationary bar.
  • Set up and dismantle portable bar stations.
  • Verify customer identification and age compliance.
  • Craft and serve a variety of classic cocktails.
  • Utilize a Point of Sale system to process customer transactions.
  • Replace CO2 tanks and beer kegs in a kegerator as needed.
  • Provide informed recommendations to patrons based on extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy, and organized workspace.
  • Inform the Supervisor when stock levels of items such as beer, wine, spirits, garnishes, and disposables are low.
  • Prepare cash receipts accurately.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or G.E.D. or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mixologist is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies:

Ability to mix drinks accurately, communicate effectively with customers, and perform equipment maintenance such as changing CO2 tanks and kegs. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 80 pounds. Flexibility to work late hours, weekends, and holidays is essential.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods and use hands for handling tasks. Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 25 lbs. and frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 80 lbs. is required. Specific vision abilities needed for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
