The Indiana University School of Medicine and IU Health Physicians are in search of a seasoned surgeon to enhance the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery. The ideal candidate will not only perform cardiovascular surgical procedures but also assume significant leadership duties, focusing on adult cardiac surgical patients. Procedures will encompass CABG, Valve Replacement, TAVR, TEVAR, ECMO, VAD, Valve Repair, as well as Aortic and Thoracic Transplant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform adult cardiovascular surgeries, including thoracic transplants and congenital cardiac procedures with an adult congenital emphasis.
  • Provide leadership for the service line.
  • Manage inpatient, outpatient, and operating room responsibilities with shared on-call duties.
  • Support and enhance a growing practice through collaborative and interdependent processes aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes.
  • This is a full-time role, with academic and clinical rank determined by experience.
  • Residents will rotate through this service.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess an M.D., DO, or equivalent qualification.
  • Completion of a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship or an integrated program is required.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Surgery.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
