Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in building applications that run our analytical instruments. Your expertise will be essential in designing, developing, and optimizing software applications, ensuring seamless communication and integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Design, develop, and implement software applications for our analytical tools, ensuring seamless communication and integration.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, application scientists, and product managers to gather requirements and translate them into functional software designs.
  • User Experience: Participate in user testing and gather feedback to refine and improve the GUI based on user experience and usability principles.
  • Integration: Integrate GUI components with backend systems and hardware interfaces, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for interfaces, code, and integration processes.
  • Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for software-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and optimal performance.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance our products.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist in other software engineering tasks as needed, demonstrating versatility and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Presentations: Present work in an organized way for project/progress reviews and design reviews.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in software development using C++ and/or C#.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
Additional Skills
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the pharmaceutical or scientific instrumentation industry is a plus.
  • Development Methodologies: Knowledge of modern software development methodologies, agile development, and DevOps practices.
Work Environment

Our team works in a dynamic and collaborative environment, with a focus on innovation and excellence. You will be working in a variety of settings, including office space, optics lab, chemistry lab, warehouse, and electronics and optical manufacturing space. The employee may occasionally be exposed to moderate noise levels and may be required to travel for conferences, trade shows, or training.
