Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement logging solutions for Microsoft Azure services and various cloud and on-premises systems.
- Integrate new data sources into existing frameworks.
- Analyze logs to identify areas for improvement in current logging methodologies.

Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 1+ years of experience with SIEM and familiarity with SOAR, EDR tools, or log generation.
  • Minimum of 2+ years in cybersecurity analysis, engineering, or development.
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining API integrations across diverse tools.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and MacOS operating systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and their logging capabilities.
  • Knowledge of log forwarding/collecting technologies (syslog, Elastic Beats, WEF/WEC, etc.).
  • Familiarity with regular expressions.
  • Proficient in Python or a similar programming language.
Microsoft Azure Expertise:
* Knowledge of implementing and managing Azure services, including but not limited to Virtual Machines (VMs), Storage Accounts, Network Security, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Event Grid, Service Bus, and various database services.

Cybersecurity and Compliance Knowledge:
* Understanding of security logging and monitoring requirements, including familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards relevant to log management (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, GDPR). * Experience in identifying and logging security events, incident response, and threat hunting.

Problem-Solving Skills:
* Ability to troubleshoot issues related to log generation, collection, and analysis, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Splunk Certified Developer, or Splunk Certified Architect.
  • Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
  • Previous experience in log analysis, identifying actionable insights to enhance logging solutions is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, startup environment.
