We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. As an Optometrist, you will provide comprehensive eye care to our patients, including the management of eye disease, consultations, and emergency triage. You will also have the opportunity to work with our Optometry Residents, Optometry Students, and Optometry Fellows in a training site setting.
Responsibilities- Provide quality patient care, staying informed of the latest developments in eye care through continuing education.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions, including eye disease and ocular manifestations of systemic disease.
- Participate in the training and education of Optometry Residents, Optometry Students, and Optometry Fellows.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
- Must have a Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school or college of optometry.
- Must be licensed to practice optometry in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
