Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Labor and Delivery team at Piedmont Walton in Monroe, Georgia. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and other medical staff during obstetrical operations

• Maintain asepsis and ensure a sterile environment during procedures

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for operations

• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a high level of vigilance during procedures

• Perform patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program or have one year of previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist or three years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting

• BLS certification required

• NRP certification preferred

• Completion of a fetal monitoring workshop and an orientation to learn surgical asepsis preferred
