Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing routine screening and diagnostic mammography examinations to obtain high-quality radiographs.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain images of excellent diagnostic quality to optimally demonstrate anatomy and/or pathology while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients.
  • Educate patients and families about the procedure and provide pre and post-procedure instructions.
  • Take measures to provide and care for patient safety and properly utilize procedure-related patient care/support devices appropriate for the age of the patient.
  • Alert supervisor and/or appropriate staff of potential problems or equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a relaxed environment to calm anxious patients.
  • Perform special procedures, assist with quality control testing, and order supplies.
  • Offer guidance to less experienced staff.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • California Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic Radiologic Technology - CRTXR required upon hire.
  • California Radiologic Technologist Mammographic Radiologic Technology - CRTMA required upon hire.
  • ARRT Radiography - RTR upon hire.
  • AHA BLS certification.
  • ARRT Mammography - RTM.
