Job Overview

Position Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of both legacy and contemporary applications and systems to support the Intelligence Community. This role involves maintaining existing applications and systems while collaborating closely with clients to ascertain requirements, implement business logic, and refine mission objectives related to software or hardware development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, test, install, and integrate new and upgraded versions of relevant operating systems (Windows/UNIX) on organizational computer systems.
  • Plan, test, install, and integrate third-party software components (e.g., VMWare) and subsystems.
  • Assist senior software system specialists in managing software life cycles.
  • Oversee software life cycles independently.
  • Investigate and resolve routine systems software issues, collaborating with senior specialists as needed.
  • Efficiently and accurately research and resolve complex systems software challenges while adhering to internal software management standards and protocols.

Required Qualifications

Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Skill Level: Expert

The candidate must possess the following skills and demonstrated experience:

  • Windows System Administration, including Windows Server 2012 R2 or later and Windows 10.
  • Experience with Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SWUS, Group Policy, and Windows Deployment Server.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server or later; scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, YAML, XML, and BitLocker).
  • Network administration experience (Firewalls, routers, and switches).
  • Experience with backup and antivirus deployments (e.g., McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator or equivalent; System Center Data Protection Manager or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

Additional skills and experiences that are advantageous but not mandatory include:

  • Experience with mission-specific applications and networks such as RH, MDSx, EMS, PRIVY, and OUS Catalog databases.
  • Holding secondary mission-specific CI scrub.
  • Proficiency in managing software life cycles.
