Job Summary:

Clean Earth is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will work closely with our Environmental Driver Specialists to ensure the safe and efficient collection of DEA regulated waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a witness at customer locations where DEA controlled substances are involved, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Ride along with a CDL Driver to assist with duties at their stops, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Video the destruction process of DEA controlled substances and upload video into our employer system, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Load containers and supplies to truck for daily service stops, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations and policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Follow all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures as outlined in procedures and policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Complete paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner, meeting all reporting requirements.
  • Perform related work and additional duties as requested or assigned by supervisor/manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Regular contact with external customers and different levels of personnel on a daily basis, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Candidate must meet all requirements for handling DEA regulated waste, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Drive non-DOT regulated vehicle to customer sites to witness regulated waste collection as needed, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Be able to work possible overnights as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • Meet all requirements for handling DEA regulated waste.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, providing support and guidance as needed.
