Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Provider Enrollment Specialist to join our team at Children's National Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the enrollment process for new providers, ensuring timely and accurate completion of enrollment applications, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Medical Staff Services to ensure capture of new onboarding providers and identify those eligible for enrollment.
  • Coordinate licensure activities with MSS and providers for licenses, controlled substance certificates, and DEA registrations.
  • Follow up on missing or delayed credentials and license documents within defined timelines.
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed Excel rosters with required data to share, record, track, and follow up on enrollment activity.
  • Document and track submission of enrollment applications to ensure receipt by payers.
  • Research and resolve license, data, or NPPES registry problems related to denied or rejected applications.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Associate's Degree (Preferred)
  • 3 years Experience in customer service in a healthcare setting, professional billing, or denial resolutions based on in-network and provider enrollment requirements (Required)
  • Superior ability to interface effectively with providers, provider leadership, internal departments, and external agencies.
  • Superior administrative skills, including strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to focus and perform without supervision.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Internet and computer skills, including intermediate Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and professional provider services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years Experience in provider medical licensing and State and Federal enrollment processes and applications.
