Job Title: Registered Nurse - ED (Casual), Westfield

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Westfield Memorial Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families for whom the nurse is responsible. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in a professional practice setting, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Participate in department-specific quality initiatives, promoting evidence-based practice and patient safety.
  • Supervise, delegate, and evaluate assigned LPN scope of practice as appropriate.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient plans of care, ensuring culturally and age-appropriate expected outcomes.
  • Accept assignments in areas other than primary units, performing duties within individualized competency.
  • Continuously evaluate and assess patient and family satisfaction, participating in department-specific patient satisfaction initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • CPR certification
  • Completed RN training program and have NY RN licensure or have applied for practice permit
  • Certification in area of specialty (preferred)

Pay Range:

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.

The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
