Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in reviewing and analyzing fire protection, fire alarm, and plumbing design documents for various tenant projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough design audits and manage project processes to ensure adherence to relevant building codes and technical standards.
- Download and review construction documents, perform hydraulic calculations, and prepare specifications and reports.
- Coordinate feedback from various technical disciplines and draft memoranda to communicate comments to relevant departments.
- Participate in meetings with tenant architects and engineers to discuss review comments and resolve any arising issues.
- Oversee the layout of plumbing and fire protection systems, including equipment layout and sizing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- A minimum of five (5) years of comprehensive experience in the design of fire protection and plumbing systems.
- Proven experience in designing plumbing and fire protection systems across diverse project types.
- Familiarity with the International Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, and Fire Code applicable in New York City, New York State, and New Jersey.
- Solid understanding of engineering disciplines related to building design and the construction of transportation and associated facilities.
- Experience with ASME B31.1 Power Piping and ASME B31.9 Building Services Piping Designs.
- Knowledge of NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems.
- Possession of E.I.T or F.E certification is preferred.

This is a permanent role.
Work Environment:
This position is fully remote, but candidates must reside within the tri-state area.
