Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist Coordinator to join our team at Community College of Philadelphia. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for assisting in the purchasing of materials, supplies, and services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will have the chance to utilize your negotiation skills to procure goods and services at the most favorable terms for the College. You will assist in evaluating bids, monitoring vendor quality, and maintaining a current database of vendor information.

Educational Requirements

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required for this position, along with at least two years of previous work experience in purchasing. Previous experience with contract negotiations is also necessary.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong capabilities and experience using Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to manipulate, import and export data
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively communicate with internal and external clients
  • Requires strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
