Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including mixing, kneading, and baking.
  • Monitor baking completion times and report any issues to department leads.
  • Ensure all processes meet customer or specification requirements and minimize risk to the company.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
  • Utilize tools and equipment as needed to perform duties.
  • Work scheduled and unscheduled hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience as a baker or in a bakery background (preferred).
  • Ability to read and write English; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Ability to follow simple instructions and rules.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to think on their feet.
  • Ability to work under a timeline and meet timeline deadlines.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and OSHA and SDS Standards.
  • Good hygiene and cleanliness practices.
