Job Title:

Lead Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Premier Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all duties associated with the Ultrasound department, maintaining staffing levels, and providing input into programs and procedure development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily activities of the unit and exercise professional judgment in the performance of duties
  • Perform US procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist
  • Obtain clinical history and data for correlation with the US procedure
  • Perform QC as required
  • Practice sterile techniques
  • Assist Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations
  • Coordinate patient care with other areas to optimize patient time and satisfaction
  • Assess learning needs and educate patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs
  • Ensure that all records, files, and reports are properly recorded as required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist; lead or supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ultrasound principles and techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
