Harvard University seeks a tenure-track professor in Vietnamese History to join the Department of History and the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and will contribute to the development of the department's curriculum. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2025. The tenure-track professor will be expected to have a strong commitment to teaching and advising, as well as a demonstrated ability to conduct research in Vietnamese History. The department is particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and who have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will be expected to have a doctorate or terminal degree in History or a related field by the time of appointment. Strong Vietnamese language skills are required.
