Job Summary:

The Georgia Historical Society is seeking a highly skilled Library Professional to join our team in Savannah. As a key member of our Archival and Reference Team, you will be responsible for coordinating reference services, scheduling operations, and providing expert guidance to staff and patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate reference staffing and scheduling to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide in-person and remote reference services to meet the needs of our diverse user base
  • Perform copy cataloging and original cataloging of library and archival materials according to national standards
  • Work collaboratively with the Manager of Archival and Reference Team to achieve team goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Library and Information Science with coursework in cataloging
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in a special collections, academic, corporate, or law library
  • At least three years of supervisory experience, overseeing the work of professional library personnel
