Position Overview

Xylem is seeking a Lead Service Technician to maintain and service our water and wastewater treatment systems at client locations.

Daily Responsibilities of the Lead Service Technician

The Lead Service Technician will be accountable for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our water and wastewater treatment systems, utilizing a company vehicle within our Municipal division. Specific training related to equipment will be provided. We are open to training the right candidate; however, those with prior experience in municipal, commercial, or industrial water treatment, plumbing, or with a background in other industrial or commercial equipment, including their mechanical and electrical components, are particularly encouraged to apply.

This role operates on a standard Monday to Friday schedule, with an on-call requirement available 24/7 unless otherwise arranged. Occasional weekend work may be necessary for urgent situations.

Position Requirements for Lead Service Technicians

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of technical experience in municipal, industrial, or commercial process water, or equivalent experience with other industrial and commercial equipment and their mechanical and electrical components
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to utilize smart devices
  • Strong customer-facing skills
  • Ability to identify and address potential safety issues
  • Must pass a background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Travel Requirements: 50% or more daily travel
