Job Summary

The Solutions Architect - Security will play a critical role in supporting account teams, customers, and go-to-market initiatives. This position requires a consultative approach, leading discussions with clients regarding security platforms, understanding how technology enables business, and recognizing opportunities for the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Recommend Security Solutions: Develop and recommend security solutions based on industry trends and knowledge of client environments.
  • Educate Sales Teams: Educate sales teams on security solution selling and key technologies.
  • Develop and Maintain Intellectual Property: Develop and maintain internal intellectual property, including white papers and subject matter guides.
  • Support Company Security Services Offerings: Support company security services offerings and portfolio by working closely with the SHI services department.
  • Design Appropriate Security Solutions: Design an appropriate security solution for the customer based on requirement documents.
  • Collaborate with Other Solution Architects: Collaborate with other solution architects and engineers in support of sales teams.
  • Engage in Self-Study and Independent Work: Engage in self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase hands-on job-related skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Minimum 5 Years of Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working with design and delivery/implementation of information security/risk management products or operational IT/security experience is required.
Required Skills
  • Independent and Entrepreneurial: The ideal candidate will be independent and entrepreneurial, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Design Security Infrastructure: Ability to design security infrastructure, including firewalls, endpoint, email, intrusion prevention/detection, identity, and governance.
  • Technical Capabilities: Ability to demonstrate technical capabilities of security technology.
  • Excellent Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills, with experience presenting to customers, internal teams, or local professional groups.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose problems.
  • High-Level Reading Comprehension: High-level reading comprehension, needed to examine manuals and technical reports.
Preferred Skills
  • Gap Assessments: Performance of one or more gap assessments for formalized information security frameworks and compliance requirements is preferred but not required.
  • Security Certifications: One or more of the following security certifications: Cisco NA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, SANS GIAC, CEH, or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Technical Writing: Technical writing skills are a plus.
  • Diverse Data Center Technology Solutions: Experience across a diverse set of data center technology solutions is preferred.
  • SOW Creation and Delivery: SOW creation and delivery experience is a plus.
  • RFP Response Experience: RFP response experience is preferred.
  • Consulting Project Delivery: Consulting project delivery experience is a plus.
Unique Requirements
  • Travel Requirements: Travel to client locations is required up to 20% for customer meetings, internal meetings, or engagements, travel to customer or partner sites, conferences, and SHI offices.
  • Extended Hours: Extended hours are required to complete some special projects.
