About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Applied Research Scientist to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our AI Foundations team, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction of our AI research and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered platforms and solutions that transform customer experiences.
  • Build and deploy AI foundation models through all phases of development, from design to implementation.
  • Engage in high-impact applied research to push the boundaries of AI and drive business value.
  • Leverage a broad stack of technologies to reveal insights hidden within large datasets.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in applied research or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in AI and machine learning, with expertise in one or more areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, or computer vision.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
