Job Title: Child Parent Psychotherapist

Hope For Youth is seeking a skilled Child Parent Psychotherapist to join our team in Nassau County. As a key member of our Intensive Prevention Services Program, you will work with children and families to provide trauma-informed care and support.

Job Summary

The Child Parent Psychotherapist will work with children from birth to age 6 who have experienced trauma, providing individualized therapy and support to promote healthy attachment and relationships. This is a 40-hour per week exempt position that requires a Master's degree and licensure. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families, as well as knowledge of trauma-informed care and early childhood mental health.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized therapy and support to children and families
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote healthy attachment and relationships
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Licensure as a therapist (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT)
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and early childhood mental health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
