Job Title: Assistant General Manager

At Goldfish Swim School, we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our swim school, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and control the daily operations of the swim school, ensuring compliance with Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures.
  • Assist the General Manager in fulfilling daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Manage the staff of the swim school, ensuring high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Train and oversee the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to our students.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
  • Direct and oversee the retail and vending departments, ensuring a proper mix of products and pricing is achieved.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to ensure that Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures are being maintained.
  • Gain knowledge and experience in the Links software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
  • Gain a high level of knowledge and experience in the Goldfish Swim School pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace employee activities, with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures that pertain to the Goldfish Swim School facility and train all current staff on the Goldfish Swim School EAP.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required.
  • Two or more years of management experience preferred.
  • Two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and first aid certification required.
  • Shallow water attendant highly recommended.

Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
