Stable and Reliable Position Available. Shift from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM (Monday to Friday). The Custodial Services Specialist will report directly to the Lead Custodian and Site Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years in custodial or related fields
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. over a distance of 15-20 feet
- Capability to push and pull 20 lbs. for maneuvering cleaning equipment
- Physical ability to stop and bend for cleaning tasks
- Possession of a valid State Driver's License
Key Responsibilities:
- Assigned areas will be cleaned thoroughly, including vacuuming and dusting of all carpeted and horizontal surfaces on a weekly basis.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables from designated areas into the correct containers.
- Sanitize fixtures, surfaces, toilets, and urinals, clean mirrors, mop floors, and replenish restroom supplies.
- At the end of each shift, remove food waste from break rooms and maintain cleanliness in public restrooms.
- Perform high and low cleaning tasks as scheduled.
- Detail cleaning of stairwells, including landings, steps, and handrails.
- Mop freight elevator landings and break room floors.
- Clean elevator cars and tracks meticulously.
- Maintain cleanliness of aluminum can recycling containers.
- Communicate effectively with the custodial services manager/supervisor.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment, providing updates to the Lead Custodian/Manager.
- Ensure all office and building premises are kept in a clean and orderly state.
- Transport small equipment between various departments as needed.
- Clean various materials including metal, glass, rubber, and plastic.
- Self-assess work quality to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Consult with the custodial service manager/supervisor regarding supply and material needs.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding employee and customer information accessed during duties.
- Engage in training sessions aimed at enhancing job skills.
- Perform carpet extractions and exterior window cleaning as required.
