We are seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing and assisting with interventional and imaging procedures, upholding the highest standards of practice as a registered technologist.
Key Responsibilities- Perform exams under the direction of a Senior Special Procedures Technologist and maintain quality assurance.
- Access patient information, including appointment times, exam types, and patient reports.
- Schedule exams in a computer application from the order entry queue and modify exams as necessary.
- Effectively assess patient information and status, implementing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
- Explain procedures and equipment to patients clearly, positioning patients and radiographic equipment appropriately.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Vocational or technical school diploma required.
- Current license to practice as a radiologist in New York State and current ARRT radiology registration required.
- Specialized certifications as needed.
- 1-3 years of technical experience required.
