Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing and assisting with interventional and imaging procedures, upholding the highest standards of practice as a registered technologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform exams under the direction of a Senior Special Procedures Technologist and maintain quality assurance.
  • Access patient information, including appointment times, exam types, and patient reports.
  • Schedule exams in a computer application from the order entry queue and modify exams as necessary.
  • Effectively assess patient information and status, implementing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
  • Explain procedures and equipment to patients clearly, positioning patients and radiographic equipment appropriately.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Vocational or technical school diploma required.
  • Current license to practice as a radiologist in New York State and current ARRT radiology registration required.
  • Specialized certifications as needed.
  • 1-3 years of technical experience required.
