Heavy Duty Diesel Technician

GTG Peterbilt is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team in Quincy, IL. As a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing service and repair on heavy duty trucks covering all makes and models.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine unit condition and identify deficiencies.
- Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Maintain cost efficiency by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options.
- Maintain accurate vehicle records with documentation of service and repairs.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and be insurable. CDL preferred.
- Must be able to pass mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Preferred minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Certifications from OEM's in the trucking industry a plus.
Additional Information:
Working in, under, and around trucks and trailers. Ability to lift, push or pull, objects of various shapes, sizes and weights. Safely walk, reach, bend, climb, push, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the essential job duties. Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time.
