Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our truck fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles. This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of diesel engine repair and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer systems.
- Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
- Replaces defective components as instructed and works unsupervised on most tasks.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or technical certification preferred.
- Three years or more relevant work experience, preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty equipment.
- Knowledge of computer skills, including PC, Windows, mouse, etc.

Benefits:
- Hourly pay rate: $24.00-$26.00 per hour.
- Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter.
- Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $1750 at 30 days and $1750 at 90 days.
- Annual merit pay increases.
- Medical, dental, vision, 401K, and other benefits available after 30 days.
