Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, with flexibility required for travel.

We are looking for a dedicated RN with exceptional clinical judgment to contribute to our Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology clinic. Under the guidance of the attending physician and/or advanced practice provider, the Nurse Manager (RN) and/or Nurse Supervisor (RN), the RN will deliver direct patient care, manage patient triage (both in-person and via phone), and assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient-specific care plans.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Accurately measure and document patient vital signs; communicate any abnormal findings to the treating provider.
  • Record comprehensive patient histories (Medical, Surgical, and Social) in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Collect and input data for asthma control assessments and peak flow measurements.
  • Provide nursing assistance to all healthcare providers and fellows within the clinical environment.
  • Administer medications and treatments to patients under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice provider.
  • Review and triage incoming test results, patient inquiries, and pharmacy requests; facilitate necessary follow-up calls to patients.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in administering specialty medications (e.g., Xolair, Nucala, Fasenra, Dupixent).
  • Conduct Allergy Desensitization Injections (subcutaneous) and Venom Desensitization Injections (subcutaneous).
  • Provide instruction and administer specialty vaccinations (e.g., diphtheria/tetanus, pneumococcal) for diagnostic immunology purposes.
  • Prepare Allergy Serum Compounding paperwork for established and new allergy injection patients.
  • Assist in emergency management protocols for anaphylaxis.
  • Perform percutaneous and intradermal skin testing for various allergens in our specialty clinic.
  • Conduct oral drug desensitization or food challenge procedures.
  • Administer nitric oxide testing and spirometry for patients with asthma or related conditions.
  • Educate and administer nebulizer treatments, self-injectable medications, and inhaler techniques in the clinic.
  • Coordinate durable medical equipment (e.g., nebulizers, oxygen) for home care patients.
  • Assist physicians in preparing for skin biopsy and rhinoscopy procedures.
  • Provide materials for eczema management in the clinic.
  • Perform Patch Dermal Skin Testing as required.
  • Coordinate bed access and team approaches for inpatient care under the supervision of the provider.
  • Educate patients regarding their visits and overall health and wellness.
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure patient examination rooms are adequately stocked.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in New York State.
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
