Project Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a Project Engineering Specialist who will play a vital role in our project teams.
Qualifications- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a related field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in construction administration, construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with advanced technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEAN methodologies.
- Document Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, or crouching, and the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Vision: Must possess specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Project Management: Oversee and assess information necessary for timely and budget-compliant project completion, ensuring quality as per contract specifications.
- Documentation: The Project Engineer is responsible for maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Project Manager or Project Executive.
- Team Coordination: Supervise the Assistant Project Engineer and Assistant Field Superintendent.
- Liaison Role: Act as a point of contact between Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors, and Owner's Representatives to resolve issues related to plans and specifications.
- Contract Oversight: Manage contract drawings and subcontract information, ensuring all documentation aligns with project estimates.
- Budget Management: Responsible for managing the project budget and ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
- Change Management: Negotiate Change Orders and manage information related to changes in the work.
- Close-Out Process: Oversee the project close-out process, preparing final records such as Requests for Information (RFIs), warranties, as-builts, and Operations and Maintenance manuals.
- Scope Preparation: Develop Scope of Work documents for various trades.
- Reporting: Generate reports on General Conditions Items, labor, safety, Change Order logs, and Quality Control.
- Meetings: Schedule and manage subcontractor trade coordination meetings, preconstruction meetings, and submittal review meetings.
- Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to ensure project adherence to specifications.
- Additional Duties: May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
