Medical Professional for On-Site Care

At UnityPoint Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an on-site medical professional. This is a part-time opportunity that will allow you to make a real difference in the lives of employees and other personnel who become ill or injured on company property.
About the RoleThis position involves providing direct care to patients, conducting nursing assessments, and assisting providers with employment and surveillance examinations. You will be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, peers, and other personnel to ensure continuity of care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and making a positive impact in your community, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain information to assist providers and referral specialists with patient referrals, complete appropriate forms or requisitions required for referrals or lab testing
- Assist in case management initiation and follow-up
- Accurately and promptly implement physicians' orders
- Function as a clinician, educator, and resource for patients within their specialty of care and assist providers with office procedures
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $65,000 per year, based on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will also have access to ongoing education and training opportunities to help you advance your career.
To be considered for this role, you must be a Registered Nurse with a valid license in the state of practice and current CPR certification. Certification in Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) and NIOSH-approved spirometry training are also preferred.
