Job Description

The Texas Education Agency is seeking a highly skilled Digital Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Open Education Resource (OER) Repository. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining product visions, driving delivery against strategies, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure the success of our digital products.

About the Role

This is a full-time position within the Department of Instructional Strategy, reporting directly to the Director of the District Operations, Technology and Sustainability Supports Division. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and release digital products that meet the needs of teachers, parents, district administrators, and agency staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, explain, and iterate a product vision that is compelling to users, agency staff, and stakeholders
  • Manage the operational process of designing and running the OER Repository throughout its entire product life cycle
  • Develop and track contract and grant deliverables and budgets related to the OER Repository
  • Engage with users and stakeholders through a range of channels to encourage take-up and use of the OER Repository
Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced digital product manager who possesses the following qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years of experience in digital product strategy or implementation of educational technologies
  • Strong understanding of best practices for product management and software development for digital products
  • Technical expertise and experience with learning management systems, content management systems, and other education technologies
  • Ability to drive product adoption and support users
  • Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) certification must be obtained within six months of employment
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $56,217 - $80,289 per year, based on the location and industry standards. Please note that salaries may vary depending on individual circumstances.
