Position Summary:

The role of the Quality Manager is pivotal, requiring hands-on engagement, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to surpassing customer expectations. This position will entail providing strategic quality leadership in collaboration with the manufacturing and senior management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and uphold a mature ISO management system.
  • Engage with customers and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Plan and direct quality assurance initiatives and activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive reports to keep management informed of quality performance metrics.
  • Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Establish and maintain quality objectives aligned with production processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Manage quality resources, including measurement, process enhancements, employee training, and equipment capability assessments.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in ISO and Quality Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in sheet metal is advantageous).
  • Proficiency in weld inspection and AWS certification.
  • A four-year degree is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification is desirable.
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to translate technical customer issues into operational requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of testing, inspection, and quality challenges.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
