Transportation Logistics Specialist

What we're looking for:
The Transportation Logistics Specialist will deliver and pick up product to and from our suppliers and customers, ensuring that parts are transported without damage and to the correct destination. The ideal candidate will learn the Shipping functions to be able to cut packing slips and labels to ship parts prior to delivering them. They will work in the shop as needed on various tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver parts to and from the assigned destinations.
- Ensure parts are not damaged in transport
- Ensure proper paperwork accompanies correct parts
- Complete daily safety checklist
- Keep vehicle clean
- Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.
- Continually find ways to improve processes
- Work in the Shipping department creating packing slips and labels.
- Package parts for shipment.
- Help in the shop as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
Preferred Requirements:
- 5 years driving experience
- Good computer skills
- Familiarity with the Hartford area a plus
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary for a Transportation Logistics Specialist in the Hartford area. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
This is a full-time position, and the Transportation Logistics Specialist will be required to work a standard Monday through Friday schedule. They will also be required to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed to meet business demands. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and will be required to pass a background check and DOT safety training and licensing.
