The Janitorial Team Lead will oversee the daily operations of the custodial staff, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are executed efficiently and in accordance with established standards. This role involves direct supervision of personnel assigned to various cleaning contracts, focusing on maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and manage janitorial staff, providing training and support as needed.
  2. Ensure adherence to contract specifications and quality standards.
  3. Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling and time management.
  4. Conduct inspections of facilities before and after cleaning to ensure quality.
  5. Assist janitorial staff with cleaning tasks as required.
  6. Oversee the proper disposal of waste and maintenance of cleanliness in all areas.
  7. Maintain knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety protocols.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and bending.
  • Capability to work in environments with dust and odors.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in custodial or maintenance roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation.
