Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Service Counselor to join our team at Park Lawn Memorial Group, LLC. As a Family Service Counselor, you will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with client families, ensuring their needs are met, and providing exceptional service to exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Building
    • Develop and maintain professional relationships with client families to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Provide personalized service to ensure client families feel valued and supported throughout the funeral and cemetery process.
  • Service Excellence
    • Ensure all client family interactions are handled with empathy, respect, and professionalism.
    • Provide tours and guides to cemetery lot locations, ensuring clients are fully informed and comfortable with their choices.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through community involvement, presentations, and referrals.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with funeral homes, departments, and team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Accurately complete required documents, ensure proper interment verification, and conduct random audits to maintain compliance with state and industry regulations.
    • Submit contracts, required documents, and payments to the Business Office in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
    • Proven track record of success in outside sales production strongly preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment
    • The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting.
    • Outdoor duties may require exposure to natural elements such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, uneven ground, dust, gas, and/or fumes.
