Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist nursing personnel with patient care tasks, including vital sign measurement, nourishment provision, and positioning for optimal comfort and safety.
  • Provide effective infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for patients.
  • Transport patients as necessary and perform routine treatment procedures as directed.
  • Work in unison with other unit personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care, including emotional needs of patients and family members.
Requirements:
  • Registered in the Maine Registry as a CNA.
  • Fulfills staff development requirements.
  • Understands emergency procedures and protocols.
  • Maintains knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Leadership/Involvement:
  • Conform to policy and procedures in regard to attendance, working hours, and punctuality.
  • Apply duties effectively.
