POSITION SUMMARY

The Equipment Rental Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the rental process and supporting sales representatives throughout the complete rental cycle. This includes coordinating the dispatch of drivers for equipment deliveries and pickups, managing fleet operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to customer inquiries and rental requests for equipment.
  • Manage documentation related to equipment rentals, including coordinating shop tasks, deliveries, and generating agreements and invoices.
  • Oversee paperwork for the demonstration or sale of rental and/or used equipment.
  • Coordinate all rental, used, and demo transportation through central dispatch.
  • Collaborate with the credit department for customer credit approvals.
  • Assist the rental utility/yard technician with the check-out and check-in processes of equipment.
  • Support the Rental Manager with special projects, asset management, and inventory tasks, including physical inventory checks for yard and shop areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Adept at effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Capable of performing calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions with common sense understanding.
  • Competent in resolving issues involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer and keyboard skills are required.
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment is beneficial but not mandatory.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outdoor weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $26.00 Hourly

Compensation is dependent on knowledge, skills, and the ability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
